Escape, Evacuation & Rescue Strategy (EERS)

Service Breakdown

In the event of accidents and emergency situations, efficient escape, evacuation and rescue will be vital to avoid injuries and fatalities. Our expertise and track record spans multiple sectors including the oil & gas industry, maritime-, offshore wind- and transportation. The overall objective of such strategies is to set requirements to escape, evacuation and rescue (EER) facilities:

  • Escape routes
  • Safe areas (muster areas and temporary refuges at offshore installations, evacuation rooms in tunnels etc.)
  • Evacuation means (lifeboats, life rafts etc.)
  • Rescue and treatment facilities (MOB boats, ERRV, emergency hospitals, medical equipment)
  • Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

Requirements in such strategies are normally set based on e.g.:

  • Authority regulations
  • Recognised standards
  • Client governing documents
  • Results in risk analysis, e.g. estimated time to critical exposure and escalation.
