Vysus Group’s Risk Management Consulting team has been awarded the North Field Expansion Project (NFXP) safety studies for topsides and pipelines for the mega-project offshore Qatar, by McDermott International.
The NFXP comprises of two development phases, North Field East (NFE) and North Field South (NFS), aiming to significantly increase LNG production of the State of Qatar from 77 MTPA to 110 MTPA and from 110 MTPA to 126 MTPA.
Vysus Group has a proven and extensive track record in the region working with McDermott and Qatargas on designing projects, including the FEED phase of the NFE and NFS as well as various NFPS projects. “Our fruitful collaboration over many years with McDermott in the region and our commitment to deliver high quality safety studies with our international team, will play a key role in developing the NFXP into a successful project,” said Ranjeet Kale, Regional Manager.
VP Risk Management Consulting, Robert Nyiredy, added: “Within Vysus Group we develop digital solutions and encourage our colleagues to be innovative, not only in respect of technical and business efficiency, but also in relation to the fundamental aim to make our clients’ operations safer. This is of vital importance and we are very pleased to continue our relationship with McDermott and Qatargas.”
