Assurance

Whether you’re an infrastructure manager, rail operator or manufacturer, we can help ensure you’re activities are compliant (NoBo, AsBo, DeBo and ISA services).

Overview

We provide independent, third-party assurance services to the transport and railway sectors, supporting clients operating in the EU inner market and European Economic Area (EEA).

Our team closely monitors the development of EU requirements, directives and regulations, applicable standards and recommendations for use (RFUs) so you stay at the forefront of industry trends. Our certificates, intermediate statements of verifications (ISV), Notified Body (NoBo) files and reports meet your specific needs and the demands of national and international authorities.

Track record

Our customers include Bane NOR, Flytoget, Norske tog and VY in Norway and Green Cargo, LKAB, SJ and Trafikverket in Sweden. Railway manufacturers include ABB, Bombardier, CAF, Stadler and Windhoff.

Services

We continuously update our working processes and templates to meet changing legislation and industry needs. Our services include the following.

  • Notified Body (NoBo)
  • Assessment Body (AsBo)
  • Designated Body (DeBo)
  • Independent Safety Assessor (ISA)
  • Accreditations

Accreditations

We hold two accreditations with the Norwegian Accreditation body to operate in the inner market of EU and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Notified Body (NoBo)

We are accredited as a certification body meeting leading requirements (EN ISO/IEC 17065). We can support you in all structural railway subsystems (as defined by the Interoperability Directive):

  • infrastructure
  • energy
  • rolling stock
  • trackside control-command and signalling
  • on-board control-command and signalling.

Our accreditation is based on Directive (EU) 2016/797, the Interoperability of the rail system within the European Union (IOD), and the ERA document MNB – Assessment scheme, 000MRA1044. More here: akkreditert.no/en/

Assessment Body (AsBo)

We are accredited as an inspection body type A, meeting leading requirements (EN ISO/IEC 17020). Our accreditation includes all five subsystems listed above for NoBo, as well as traffic operation and management, maintenance, and system safe integration.

The accreditation covers the normative document Regulation (EU) No 402/2013 on the common safety method for risk evaluation and assessment, as amended in Regulation (EU) 2015/1136. More here: akkreditert.no/en/

Designated Body (DeBo)

We are appointed Designated Body (DeBo) by the Norwegian Railway Authority (NRA) in Norway. As DeBo in Norway for infrastructure and rolling stock, we ensure compliance with nation technical rules in Norway.

We are registered in ERADIS – European Railway Agency Database of Interoperability and Safety, as an accredited Assessment Body (AsBo) from Norway. With this registration Vysus Group can operate as AsBo in the inner market of EU and the European Economic Area (EEA).

ISA?

In Scandinavia there are no requirements for an ISA to be accredited. The basic criteria for our ISA service is normally the CENELEC EN50126, EN5018 and EN50129 standards (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety, RAMS standards), against which the safety engineering of railway products and systems are assessed.
