Multi-Million Pound Agreement with Swedish Transport Administration

New framework agreement with Trafikverket to deliver third party assessment services for the country’s rail network, worth 28 million Swedish Krona, announced today.

Vysus Group, the global engineering consultancy, announced today a new framework agreement with Trafikverket, the Swedish Transport Administration, worth 28 million Swedish Krona (over £2 million), to deliver third party assessment services for the country's rail network.

The agreement, which runs for two years initially with an option to extend for a further two years, strengthens Vysus Group's position as a key consultant to the Swedish Transport Administration.

As an accredited assessment body (AsBo) and notified body (NoBo) in Europe, Vysus Group will deliver independent assurance services for projects across the network. As NoBo, Vysus Group will provide third party certification at various points throughout project lifecycles to ensure the structural subsystem conforms to the technical specifications outlined by the European Union (EU). This will ensure technical interoperability of the Swedish rail network. As AsBo, Vysus Group will ensure that the projects comply with the Common Safety Method – Risk Evaluation and Assessment (CSM-REA) regulation.

Asle Martinsen, Transport Assurance Manager at Vysus Group, said: "This new agreement is testament to Vysus Group's expertise and excellent track record in the European railway sector. It follows a previous framework agreement for NoBo services for Trafikverket, where we delivered positive results and developed a good relationship over a three-year period. This latest agreement provides us with an opportunity to further strengthen this relationship, build on an already high level of trust and continue to deliver exceptional assurance services."
