ModuSpec, a member of Vysus Group, has recently supported a significant milestone in the Midia Gas Development Project with Black Sea Oil & Gas (BSOG), which will supply 10% of Romania’s gas consumption from 2022 onwards.
ModuSpec was awarded a contract in 2017 to provide rig intake & inspection services for the five well development drilling programme which commenced in November 2021. During the period, we worked in partnership with BSOG to execute a rig specific intake and inspection programme, taking the GSP Uranus from warm stack to operational status.
Throughout the period we delivered a discipline specific solution, project managed by our team in Aberdeen, supported by surveyors at key points of the reactivation process (remotely, onshore and rig site) and start-up for operations.
Our delivery throughout the various phases has been commended by the client.
Allan Gibson, Development Drilling Manager, said: “ModuSpec identified 210 recommendations on the GSP Uranus, which were all closed-out, with guidance and technical support from ModuSpec. The technical quality of the surveyors’ work was exemplary, and the reporting kept me well informed, resulting in a jack-up which was ready to drill.”
Liam Pirie, Business Development Manager with ModuSpec, said: “To have been involved with BSOG’s campaign over an extensive period of time is extremely pleasing for us and is testament to the great working relationship we have established with the BSOG team. We are also delighted with the client’s feedback to our technical delivery and the continuity provided by our core team. We look forward to working with BSOG again on future campaigns.”
