ModuSpec continues to meet North American rig intake demands

ModuSpec has secured a significant contract award for a rig intake project in North America. The ModuSpec team will support an international oil company to select and then intake a jack-up drilling rig for a well programme commencing Q3 2023, including the feasibility of installing and operating a managed pressure drilling (MPD) package.

Over the past 12 months the team has supported several local and international oil companies with both selection and intake of both semi-submersible and jack-up drilling rigs in the same region. The award is a product of ModuSpec’s growing reputation for delivering highly customised rig intake services.

Mark Watson, Operations Manager for ModuSpec, said: “This contract award strengthens ModuSpec’s position as a trusted provider of customised rig intake services.

“We have invested in a local entity and our recent track record in the region shows what we deliver is meeting the complex needs of our clients. As well as assessing the rig equipment, we will work with a partner to assess the feasibility of installing a MPD package in readiness for commencing the well programme later in 2023.”
