ModuSpec is delighted to announce the award of two further projects in The Netherlands. ModuSpec (a Vysus Group company) has recently supported Neptune Energy Netherlands B.V during the reactivation of a self-propelled, dynamically positioned jack-up barge which will be utilised to support concurrent well intervention activities in the Dutch North Sea. The scope of work included an assessment of the equipment being ready to commence operations and robustness of the barge owner’s competency management system.
In a separate project with Neptune Energy, ModuSpec will support with technical review of simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and bridging documentation for the barge and other jack-up drilling rigs to be deployed across various wellhead platforms. The award underlines ModuSpec’s expertise and value to clients during the well intervention, plug and abandonment stage of a well, particularly in The Netherlands where recently we have completed projects for three other clients involving jack-up drilling rigs and barges.
Mark Watson, Operations Manager with ModuSpec, said: “We are delighted to reinforce our position in the Dutch market having recently completed a number of projects with key clients. The new project awards are unique as Neptune Energy’s request is very specific, meaning we are delivering a highly customised service. We are well suited to this type of work, requiring our operational and technical teams to work in partnership with Neptune Energy during the planning, preparation and execution phases. The return of ModuSpec to the market in 2021 has been well received by the market and we are continuing to grow our brand and reputation for high quality work.”
Willem Dekker, Head of Well Operations – NL with Neptune Energy, said: “The assessment of this jack-up barge by ModuSpec was performed to our full satisfaction. Their professional approach and high-quality reporting was well received. Critical findings were identified, which could thereafter be successfully resolved with the barge owner. Neptune Energy will certainly consider to use ModuSpec again for future rig/barge projects.”
